چکیده :
چوب یکی از قدیمی ترین مصالح ساختمانی است که در اکثر نقاط جهان استفاده می شود . در ترکیه ساختمانهای چوبی نیز تا دهه 1960 رایج بوده اند . بعد از این دوران ، مصالح چوبی جای خود را به بتن های مسلح و فولاد دادند و چوب نیز تقریبا به دست فرمواشی سپرده شد . اما در سال 1999 دو زلزله در ترکیه به وقوع پیوست و به علت انکه درصد صدمات وارد شده به مصالح ساختمانی جدید نسبت به چوب بیشتر بود باعث شد تا دوباره دوران استفاده از چوب به عنوان مصالح ساخمتانی را به یاد همگان اورد . در این پژوهش ، انواع ساختمانهای چوبی قدیمی به کار رفته در ترکیه و میزان صدمه وارد شده به آنها بحث و بررسی شده است . تصاویر ساختمانهای سالم و صدمه دیده نیز ارائه شده است . بعضی از ضعف های این گونه سازه ها نیز از طریق صدمات وارد شده توسط زلزله ها بررسی شده اند . این صدمات شامل ترک خوردگی دیوارها و سقف ، شکست ملات ، شل شدن یا کج شدن اتصالات و جابه جایی بزرگ و شکسته شدن پی هستند .

Traditional wooden buildings and their damages during earthquakes in Turkey

Abstract
Wood is one of the oldest structural materials used in structures in many parts of the World. Woodframe buildings were also commonly constructed in Turkey until approximately 1960. After that, as reinforced concrete and masonry buildings have been preferred, wooden buildings have almost been forgotten. But, in 1999, Kocaeli and Duzce earthquakes reminded traditional buildings. Since reinforced concrete buildings presented high level of damage and traditional buildings relatively performed well during these earthquakes. In this study, types of traditional wooden buildings used in Turkey are mainly introduced and their damages in earthquakes are discussed. Damaged and undamaged wooden building photos are illustrated. Some structural weaknesses are highlighted by the earthquake damages including cracking and falling of plaster, failure of mortar, loosening or failing of connections, large lateral displacements, dislodgement of the masonry infill, loosening or failing of connections and failure of connections to foundation.
