ارزیابی قدرت رشد بذر پیچیدگی های بسیاری به عنوان هشدار اصلی پتانسیل فیزیولوژیکی بذر در حین فازهای مختلف تولید آن برای صنعت بذر داشته و تضمینی برای تصمیمات استراتژیک با توجه به انتخاب کیفیت بالای گیاهان دارویی در پاسخ به نیاز مصرف کننده می باشد. در سطح جهانی ویژگیهای پتانسیل قدرت رشد بذر به عنوان خصوصیات اساسی فیزیولوژیکی بذر و همراهی آن در زمینه ایجاد ساقه و قابلیت تولید محصول از دهه 1960 به بعد تشخیص داده شده است. این امر به رویکردهای تحقیقاتی متنوعی منجر می شود که شامل همزمانی اتفاقات فیزیولوژیکی متفاوتی است که پتانسیل رویکرد فوق العاده در طی ذخیره سازی بذر و پس از آن کشت را تعیین می کند. هدف اصلی آزمایش قدرت رشد فراهم کردن تشخیص سازگار تفاوتها در پتانسیل فیزیولوژیکی میان ارزش تجاری فراوانی دانه ها بوده و این مسئله نشانگر عامل حساسیت بیشتر نسبت به آزمایش جوانه زنی می باشد. دستورالعملهای متفاوتی برای ارزیابی قدرت رشد بذر وجود دارند شامل آنهایی که مستقیم یا غیر مستقیم وضعیت متابولیکی بذر را ارزیابی کرده یا اینکه مقاومت بذر را برای فشارهای خاص تعیین می کنند. در همان زمان در سالهای اخیر دانش جدیدی از بیولوژی مولکولی، بیوتکنولوژی، بیوپسی و آنالیزهای بذر و تصویر برداری کشت بذر عرضه شده است. این رویکردها ضمیمه های مهمی برای تحقیق سنتی درباره بذر دارند. این متن با هدف تاکید بر نقش تحقیقات برزیلی ها در قدرت رشد بذر که رقابت بین المللی را تشخیص داده اند و مروری بر انقلاب علمی دارند تلاش بر پر رنگ کردن حوادثی دارد که با پیشرفت تحقیق در این زمینه ارتباط دارند.
Seed vigor testing: an overview of the past, present and future perspective
ABSTRACT: The assessment of seed vigor has many important implications to the seed industry as a basic monitoring of seed physiological potential during different phases of seed production and a support for strategic decisions regarding the selection of high quality seedlots to meet the consumer demand. The potential attributes of seed vigor as a fundamental physiological seed characteristic and its association with field stand establishment and crop productivity has been worldwide recognized from the 1960s onward. This led to the diversification of research ap- proaches involving the synchronization of different physiological characteristics and events that determine the potential for high performance during seed storage and after sowing. The basic objective of vigor testing is to provide a consistent identification of differences in physiological potential among seedlots of commercial value and this represents a more sensitive parameter than the germination test. There are various procedures to assess seed vigor including those that directly or indirectly evaluate seed metabolic state or identify seed tolerance to specific stress(es). At the same time, in more recent years, new knowledge has come from molecular biology, biotechnology, biophysics and seed and seedling imaging analyses; these approaches has been important complements to traditional seed research.. This text has the purpose to emphasize the role of Brazilian research in seed vigor, whose competence is internationall events that contributed to the advancement of research on the subject.
